Marty's favourite thing to do is go for leashed walks. He's a great hunting buddy, enjoys wildlife and chasing birds. The only thing he loves more than being outdoors is his family. He's often longing for those head and belly scratches and lots of cuddles from his people. Great with children of all ages, Marty is well trained and knows a lot of commands such as sit, stay, down , come, wait.
Marty requires an experienced owner who can be the leader of the pack. He has reacted to other barking dominate dogs on walks and any off leash dogs, but has been ok with dogs who are introduced in a calm safe environment. (No off leash dog parks is recommended). Marty also does better in calm energy environment, rough play and tug of war makes him feel uneasy. While he does love getting brushed, nail trimming is a different matter, and that is something he will warm up to once he trusts you.
Fully house trained and kennel trained - although kennelling isn't necessary while you're away. 100% trust-able in your home for hours alone.
